MY SPEED BIKES30

The KTM 200 Duke is a naked motorcycle made by KTM available in Europe, Australia, Nepal, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Colombia, Mexico and Argentina.[1] It has a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, spark-ignition liquid-cooled engine. For the Indian market, as well as for the global market, the bike is completely manufactured in Bajaj Auto's facility at Chakan near Pune.
In Colombia, is being assembled in by the company Auteco S.A. [2]
In Argentina, is being assembled

Rather than being a direct development of the previous, carbureted VFR750F engine, the VFR800 engine was a detuned and longer-stroke power plant based on the fuel-injected engine designed for the RC45 of 1994. The RVF750R RC45 engine, although a development of the VFR750R RC30 and originally derived from the VFR750F RC24, was very different from Honda's previous V-4 as the gear drive to the cams was moved from the centre of the engine to one side, similar to the CBR250. Tuned for road use in the VFR800, power was slightly increased over the VFR750, and torque was improved throughout the rev range. In 2000, Honda updated the fifth-generation VFR (RC46) with a catalytic converter, oxygen sensors, and an EFI system that would enter closed-loop mode under highway (cruising) operation.
The VFR800's frame. which uses the engine as a stressed member of the frame, was derived from the VTR1000 Firestorm, but it retains the trademark VFR single-sided swingarm pivoted from the aft of the crankcase.

Dual combined braking system (DCBS)

The VFR800 has a novel DCBS linked braking system. This system is a departure from traditional motorcycle braking system where front and rear braking are independent of each other. In this system, the front brake lever applies pressure to four (or later, five) of the six front brake caliper pistons. The rotational movement of the left caliper when engaged actuates a secondary master cylinder and applies pressure to one of the rear caliper's pistons. The rear brake pedal is directly attached to the remaining pistons (two in the rear, and one (or two) in the front).
The DCBS system is designated "Dual" as both hand lever and foot pedal each control both front and rear brakes; (more commonly the foot pedal operates only the rear brake).

Sixth Generation: 2002-2013 VFR800 VTEC (RC46)

The sixth generation VFR was introduced in 2002. It featured dual underseat exhausts, (rather like the Ducati 916), optional ABS, DCBS linked brakes, and optional hard luggage. It featured chain-driven cams rather than the gear-driven cams of earlier VFRs, and VTEC valve actuation.
The VFR800 was phased out after the 2009 model year in the United States, when Honda introduced the larger VFR1200F;[1] but the VFR1200 was not a direct replacement for the VFR800; the true successor is the 2014 VFR800F (RC79).The RC46 model of VFR800 continues to be sold in certain international markets[citation needed].

VTEC valve actuation

The VFR800 was the first non-JDM motorcycle to use VTEC valve-gear. Honda used VTEC to meet tightening noise and emissions standards and to increase the peak engine horsepower. Based on the VTEC-E system, the simplified motorcycle version of VTEC employs only two of the four valves per cylinder when operating at lower engine speeds. All four valves per cylinder are engaged above approximately 6,800 rpm. This is initiated by an electronically actuated oil spool valve, which send oil pressure to the lifter actuators, which then move the engagement pins into place above the valve stem, allowing the remaining two valves to open. This design allows for variable valve timing as well, since the cam lobe profiles can be made different. After much criticism of the abruptness of power transition, Honda lowered the VTEC activation rpm threshold to 6,400 rpm in 2006. The VTEC disengages two cylinder valves when the engine speed drops again below 6,100 rpm.

Eighth Generation: 2014-Present VFR800F (RC79)

A facelifted VFR800 debuted at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The revised VFR800 features a new single sided exhaust system, lighter wheels, and additional mass-reduction, lowering the curb weight by 10 kg. The new VFR also features traction control, a new instrument panel, and revised aerodynamic bodywork with LED lighting, though the engine and chassis remain largely unchanged from the previous sixth-generation model. The 2014 VFR800F is expected to be sold worldwide. In the US market it is available in two versions, Standard and Deluxe. Deluxe version adds ABS, traction control, grip heaters, self-canceling turn signals. Outside US only Deluxe version is sold.[2][3]

  • The R-15's look is inspired from the Yamaha YZF-R6. Unlike the first edition, the v2 has a split-seat design, higher seat height, LED tail light, wide tyres, larger gear ratio (15/47), longer wheelbase, rear mudguard, and redesigned middle and tail section. The engine performance was largely similar, still having a six-speed transmission and a linked type sport suspension added on the back. The 2014 Yamaha YZF-R15 released in Indonesia is largely the same as the 2011 version released in India, but with removed mudguard.
The engine is a 149.8 cc single cylinder [four-stroke engine] with four valves and a single overhead cam. The bore and stroke of the engine are 57.0 mm × 58.7 mm (2.24 in × 2.31 in). The radiator is placed in the front of the engine with a fan behind it. The coolant reserve is on the left side up and behind the radiator. The transmission is return type six-speed with a constant mesh wet multi plate clutch.
The bike has a 270 mm single disc with dual piston callipers in the front and a 220 mm single disc single piston calliper at the rear, both the brake systems being made by Nissin of Japan. The front suspension is twin telescopic fork and the rear is the advanced linked type motocross suspension. The bike has a dual headlight like other bikes of the R-series.
  • Honda VFR400
the VFR750 and, like the earlier bike, has the V4 engine configuration shared with the Honda VF and VFR motorcycle family. The VFR800 is known in the USA as the Interceptor.

Harley-Davidson Inc[5] (formerly HDI[6]), often abbreviated H-D or Harley, is an American motorcycle manufacturer. Founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, during the first decade of the 20th century, it was one of two major American motorcycle manufacturers (Indian being the other) to survive the Great Depression.[7] Harley-Davidson also survived a period of poor quality control and competition from Japanese manufacturers.[8]
From 1977 to 2014 the only motorcycles sold to the public under the Harley-Davidson brand were heavyweight cruiser motorcycles, with engine displacements greater than 700 cc. Harley-Davidson motorcycles, or "Harleys", are noted for the tradition of heavy customization that gave rise to the chopper style of motorcycle.[9] Except for the modern VRSC and Street model families, current Harley-Davidson motorcycles reflect the styles of classic Harley designs. While Harley-Davidson's attempts to establish itself in the light motorcycle market have met little success and have largely been abandoned since the 1978 sale of its Italian Aermacchi subsidiary, the company re-entered the middleweight market in 2015 with its Street series of motorcycles.
Harley-Davidson sustains a large brand community which keeps active through clubs, events and a museum. Licensing of the Harley-Davidson brand and logo accounted for $40 million (0.8%) of the company's net revenue in 2010.[4]

ROYLE ENFILD

Royal Enfield is an Indian motorcycle manufacturing company based in Chennai, India. Originally, a British motorcycle company, Royal Enfield and indigenous Madras Motors, it is now a subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited, an Indian automaker.[1] The company makes the Royal Enfield Bullet, and other single-cylinder motorcycles.[2] Established in 1893, Royal Enfield is among the oldest motorcycle companies

The Indian government looked for a suitable motorcycle for its police and army, for patrolling the country's border. The Royal Enfield Bullet was chosen as the most suitable bike for the job. The Indian government ordered 800 350 cc model Bullets.[3] In 1955, the Redditch company partnered with Madras Motors in India to form 'Enfield India' to assemble, under licence, the 350 cc Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle in Madras (now called Chennai). The tooling was sold to Enfield India so that they could manufacture components. By 1962, all components were made in India. The Indian Enfield uses the 1960 engine (with metric bearing sizes), Royal Enfield still makes an essentially similar bike in 350 cc and 500 cc forms today, along with several different models for different market segments.[4]
Royal Enfield was a brand of the Enfield Cycle Company, a British manufacturing firm. It started in India for the Indian Army 350 cc bikes were imported in kits from the UK and assembled in Chennai. After a few years, the company started producing the 500 cc Bullet.
In 1990, Royal Enfield collaborated with the Eicher Group, an automotive company in India, and merged with it in 1994. Apart from bikes, Eicher Group is involved in the production and sales of tractors, commercial vehicles, and automotive gears.
Royal Enfield currently sells motorcycles in more than 50 countries. Recently Royal Enfield surpassed Harley-Davidson in global sales in 2015.[5]
